The site is situated on the hillside north of Akihito Town, directly facing Cherry Brick Road and surrounded by trees, creating a serene atmosphere. However, being in a quake-prone area poses a challenge in integrating natural stone and flowing water into the buildings while ensuring the protection and maintenance of the structures. This becomes the primary focus of the project.

The Structure Analysis

The primary structures feature average layout stakes reinforced with fastened carbon fiber. This carbon fiber connects the stakes to the primitive stone found on the site, enhancing the building's earthquake resistance and imbuing it with heightened structural tension. For minor structures, locally grown evergreen Hinoki and Sugi trees, renowned for their durability and rich markings, are used as raw materials. Primitive wood and stone serve as the main building materials, imparting a natural and rustic texture to the site.
