1. The subdivided network site generates the form of the introverted yard space.
2. Based on the surrounding roads, two angles of the building are raised to serve as external entrances to the yard.
3. Soften the ground and raise it naturally to simulate mountains and forests, providing support to the building structure.
4. Divide the functional areas by placing the commercial system underground, separating the living spaces from the public activity areas.
5. Enhance the functionality of spaces by integrating artificial intelligence into all underground businesses.
6. Improving the yard space by implementing artificial intelligence to control commercial activities, thereby fostering a completely new lifestyle and work environment.
In modern urban research, a crucial concept is that "a city is a large-scale aggregation formed through continuous collage and combination of various forms." Wuhan, with its long and intricate history, presents an opportunity to identify representative buildings or elements from different periods. Through methods such as collage, montage, coordinated dualism, fragmentation, collision, metaphor, transplantation, and grafting, I aim to create an "aggregation" that allows residents to experience the complexity and vitality of the city's history. This approach also seeks to innovate and update the cityscape in a new way.
The underground businesses play a vital role in meeting the daily needs of residents. Amidst the travel restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, these businesses are fully managed by artificial intelligence robots. These robots handle tasks such as saving, classifying, and shelving goods. Residents simply place orders online, and unmanned aerial vehicles deliver the goods. To simulate the experience of physical shopping, residents can access a virtual underground space via VR. Here, they can interact with holographic figures and enjoy a friendly shopping experience. After shopping, their purchases are delivered by unmanned aerial vehicles.
The semi-exterior public spaces in residential life have become essential during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing residents with necessary opportunities to safely and enrichingly experience public life while staying at home. Designing these spaces is crucial to ensuring safety and abundance in public interactions. By integrating elements from various parts of the city through collage, the design emphasizes creating diverse, nearby public activity spaces within residential areas. This approach aims to minimize gatherings by offering each public space unique and engaging experiences while maintaining safe distances among people.
